Has the Law been done away with?

In light of the conversation has the Law (Torah) been done away with. Much discussion has been made on this topic. If it has been fully accomplished in all facets then any belief that we can do anything we want because Jesus has lived a perfect life totally devoid of sin and the Father can not see what we do because we covered by His blood. Based on Mathew chapter 5 verses 17 and 18 we can see that is not the case.  By the fact that heaven and Earth have not passed away and the fact that we are still living in a fallen world we cannot say that the Torah has been done away with. Do people commit adultery? Do people murder or steal, lie or, want of what their neighbor has? I am certain to say that they are still going on. If the Law has been done away with the all things are permissible for there is no one saying I cannot do them. Sure, we have civil law that says we cannot do these things, yet if by the death burial and resurrection on Yeshua accomplished all then why is this still a topic of discussion?

Mat 5:17-18 MKJV

(17) Do not think that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to destroy but to fulfill.

(18)  For truly I say to you, Till the heaven and the earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in any way pass from the Law until all is fulfilled.

Mat 7:21-27 MKJV

(21) Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven.

(22)  Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works?

(23)  And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!

(24)  Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.

(25)  And the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house. And it did not fall, for it was founded on a rock.

(26)  And everyone who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them shall be compared to a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

(27)  And the rain came down, and the floods came, and the wind blew and beat on that house. And it fell, and great was its fall.

As the end of the end of this age is drawing to its close, we can see that the prefect has not come as of yet. A quick look at the news you will see that lawlessness has in fact increased and has not decreased. One could say that if all was complete and we are living in the Kingdom of Yeshua that you would expect to see crimes to come to an end and there would be no need for the police or the legal system as we see it today. On the contrary what we see is the complete opposite to be true. In fact, that crime has increased to the point that the prisons are not large enough to contain the lawless. You could say that it would be better to lock up the innocent and there would be more than enough room.

With Yeshua coming soon return I would expect to see that the wicked would rule the world and the righteous to made as if they are criminals. In fact, that is what is going this very day. The guilty are held in high esteem and the righteous are made to be the bad guy.

Mat 10:16-42 MKJV (Mat 10:16-42)

(16) Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.

(17)  But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to the Sanhedrin’s, and they will scourge you in their synagogues.

(18)  And you shall be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them and the nations.

(19)  But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak; for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak.

(20)  For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

(21)  And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. And the children shall rise up against their parents and cause them to be put to death.

(22)  And you will be hated of all men for My name's sake, but the one who endures to the end shall be kept safe.

(23)  But when they persecute you in this city, flee into another; for truly I say to you, In no way shall you have finished the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes.

(24)  A disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

(25)  It is enough for the disciple that he is like his master, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household?

(26)  Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, and nothing hidden which shall not be known.

(27)  What I tell you in darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear, proclaim on the housetops.

(28)  And do not fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

(29)  Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion ((1))? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

(30)  But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

(31)  Therefore do not fear, you are of more value than many sparrows.

(32)  Then everyone who shall confess Me before men, I will confess him before My Father who is in Heaven.

(33)  But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven.

(34)  Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to send peace, but a sword.

(35)  For I have come to set a man against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

(36)  And a man's foes shall be those of his own household.

(37)  He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

(38)  And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.

(39)  He who finds his life shall lose it. And he who loses his life for My sake shall find it.

(40)  He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

(41)  He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. And he who receives a just one in the name of a just one will receive a just one's reward.

(42)  And whoever shall give to one of these little ones a cup of cold water to drink, only in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, He shall in no way lose his reward.

If they abused our Messiah, why would they treat us any different? As they did to Him, they will do to us who do what He says to do. Is this another fulfilled verse that we don’t have to worry about? Think about what the world has handled those who were righteous from the first murder even until today. Their answer is to kill those who bear the light of YHVH. Darkness cannot dwell in the Light. As much as they pretend to, they cannot live in the light of YHVH. How did they treat the prophets? Did they repent and return to Torah, or did they abide in the Light? No, they did not. For a while they did as long as there was a righteous leader and then the people return and worship their worthless idols, which actually made things worse.

From what we see here is that the heart is born again then we will walk in the light. When we continue to walk in darkness then there is no hope. Yeshua pointed this out many times in different ways.

How can we say that the Law was nailed to the cross when in fact, that if He changed one thing, He would be a false prophet, and His death would be justified and our hope in salvation would be lost. For it is only through the Son that we can approach the Father, for no man can see the Father and if we cannot trust the Son then we are indeed doomed.
